Know why Eco-Friendly Houses are the future of the Real Estate Market

Sustainable Homes: Pioneering a Greener Future

There is a growing interest in sustainable homes, as people become more aware of the impact of their homes on the environment. Sustainable homes are important as they are designed to minimize the impact on the environment, while still providing comfortable living space for their occupants. Unique Property Group has launched an all-electric site that embraces energy efficiency technology within the £5billion regeneration project of Brent Cross Town and Cricklewood. If sustainable homes for sale is what you are looking for, The Gladstone might be the place for you.

Embracing Sustainability: The Gladstone’s Vision

As part of the ongoing commitment to create sustainable developments, The Gladstone is our first ever gas-free development. All homes are run entirely by electricity targeting low carbon emissions, offering more efficient energy and a healthier environment for the residents.

The Pillars of Sustainable Living

1. Superb Insulation and Triple-Glazed Windows

There are several characteristics to have in mind when searching for the best sustainable homes. One of the most important things is to make sure that the home is well insulated. Our new homes include well-insulated walls, roofs, and floors. You will also find great air tightness levels, and triple-glazed windows. This will help to keep the home warm in the winter and cool in the summer, without the need for excessive heating or cooling. The triple-glazed windows permit for better home conservation as they are built with an imperishable material. The windows are designed for a lifespan of 70+ years.

2. Green Building Materials

Another way to make a home more sustainable is to use green building materials. These materials are designed to be more environmentally friendly, and they can help to reduce the impact of the home on the environment. At The Gladstone we use modern methods of construction. An off-site prefabricated steel superstructure that weighs significantly less than a traditional concrete frame is used. The result is in the substructure having a reduced environmental impact. Thermal breaks throughout the steel superstructure also improve the thermal performance of the building.

3. Energy Efficiency Redefined

Another important factor is to use energy-efficient appliances and lighting. The solar panels installed on the rooftop will generate renewable energy to provide for the communal areas. Not only you live in an efficient house but also in a sustainable development.

4. Intelligent Ventilation and Heating Systems

Furthermore, a low heat loss domestic hot water thermal store will maximise energy efficiency and deliver water and space heating. Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR), installed in every home, will provide residents with a constant supply of filtered fresh air that will help reduce any allergies and asthma symptoms. This system will also recover and reuse up to 95% of the waste heat, lower power consumption and control moisture and condensation. Meanwhile, an electric heating system will turn electricity being used into heat.

5. Smart Heating: Sygma Electric Radiators

Adding to the MVHR system there are also Sygma electric radiators, with a smart timer and thermostat so you can fully enjoy an all-electric home. Our radiators consume on average only 40% of its nominal power to maintain the temperature at 21ºC, saving that extra bit of energy when not needed. The high-quality aluminium allows to achieve maximum heat distribution and faster heating times than other less green technologies.
